University wasn’t the right path for me – but an apprenticeship was.

I wanted practical experience, real responsibility and the chance to learn new skills in a live environment. My apprenticeship gave me all of that. I have worked on events, supported customer bids, learned new tools and built my confidence through college-based training.

Since completing my apprenticeship in January 2025, I stepped into a Marketing & Communications Assistant role, and am now proud to be a Marketing Executive.

Network Cable Installer Apprenticeships

One of Roc’s most popular apprenticeships with apprentices working across multiple customer sites, this gives you the opportunity to step into the backbone of the digital world.

Helping to build the infrastructure that keeps everything connects – from smart university campuses to secure sites – you’ll learn how to install, terminate, test and certify network cabling to industry standards, working on projects that range from a single connection point to thousands of outlets or kilometres of fibre.

It’s a hands-on, physical role where no one day is the same, and attention to detail and great customer service really matters.

Level 4 Project Manager

Become the organiser, problem-solver and driver behind Roc’s successful project deliveries.

Developing the skills to lead change, tackle challenges with confidence and keep projects on track from start to finish, you’ll learn how to manage people, technology, budgets and quality outcomes to deliver results that make a real impact.

Offering a great opportunity for aspiring leaders looking to grow their project management skills this apprenticeship helps you to take the next step in your career.

Learning and Development Consultant Level 5

Helping to shape the future of Roc’s workplace learning, you’ll dive into the theories behind effective learning, explore the policies that guide training design and learn how to measure the real impact of learning within a real business environment.

Identifying skills gaps and helping to build career development plans of colleagues across Roc, you’ll be critical in supporting long-term talent growth across the business whilst also developing skills in planning and managing budgets, evaluating ROI and delivery high-quality training.

This apprenticeship offers the foundation for anyone to make a meaningful impact across Roc if they’re passionate about people, performance and continuous improvement.
