Roc’s Digital Outcomes and Specialists 2 award emphasises continued commitment to the public sector

Press Release
February 6, 2017 07:00

Roc is today pleased to announce that it has been awarded supplier status for the government’s Digital Outcomes and Specialists (DOS) 2 framework.

This success enables Roc to support the Government Digital Strategy and continue its commitment to provide its public sector customers with the help they need on their transformational journey.

Director Matt Franklin says, “Roc’s public sector customer base has grown very strongly over the last three years and we are delivering ever more transformation services and solutions to it. These solutions must also be relevant – they must ensure the public sector can cope with the fast pace of operational change.”

“It is therefore very pleasing that we have been awarded supplier status on the DOS 2 framework because it endorses Roc’s hard work and commitment to the sector.”

The DOS 2 supplier award is given only to small and medium sized businesses that can demonstrate the ability to support the Government Digital Strategy.

In achieving this award, Roc has demonstrated its ability to comply with the Digital by Default Standard, and to align with the Government Digital Service Design Manual.

About Digital Outcomes and Specialists 2
Digital Outcomes and Specialists has been developed to create a diverse pool of specialist, agile service providers to enable government and the public sector to move traditional services to a user-centric design service. The aim is for the new services to cost less whilst retaining the flexibility to enable continuous development and improvement. It specifically enables and supports the Government’ Digital by Default strategy and cloud adoption commitment.

Digital Outcomes and Specialists has been developed in collaboration with the Government Digital Service (GDS), building on the feedback received from users on Digital Services 1 and 2.

This iteration has been re-designed by a multi-disciplined team from CCS, GDS and GLD (Government Legal Department). The design has encompassed buyer and supplier engagement and feedback.

Contract simplification and the use of Plain English have played a large part in the redesign of this iteration of the framework.
