Roc secures WBTC Investment in Training Award

Press Release
February 1, 2017 07:00

We are very pleased to announce today that Roc has won West Berkshire Training Consortium’s (WBTC) Investment in Training Award.

The award recognises Roc’s ‘outstanding’ support shown to apprentice Jason Lee as part of its employee development strategy. Jason is Roc’s fourth apprentice over the last four years.

Every year, WBTC organises an annual graduation ceremony and prize-giving event at which the achievements of graduating learners, their mentors and employers are celebrated.

Attending the award giving with Jason Lee was Ben Towers, Roc’s Head of Resourcing. Ben says, “We’re thrilled that our commitment to employee development has been recognised.”

“At Roc, we are proud to be of assistance in developing the brightest local talents. Our apprentices are given hands-on experience and all the support they need to help them fulfil their potential by completing their formal training.”

“We do this because we believe our apprentices are an essential element in ensuring that, in future, we continue to achieve the growth and success we have experienced to date.”

Roc works with WBTC because its record of apprentice achievement is second to none - government figures place their success rates at more than 10% higher than the national average.
