22 Roc Runners Lined Up For The Newbury Roc10k Supported by The Good Exchange

Newbury, April 19th 2018 – The Roc Running team today proudly donned their new team colours outside of the companies Newbury HQ in preparation for the Newbury Roc10k taking place on Sunday 27th May 2018. The team of twenty-two, comprising of Roc team members, family, and a number of Roc customers will take the starting line after training hard throughout the winter, regularly hitting the streets of Newbury after work, and battling through the snow and ice, even training during the beast from the east.

Callum Ward, who is running a 10k for the first time commented, “I had to pick a 10k that followed one of the worst spells of weather Berkshire has seen in a long while, but, with an Auntie who has already completed two marathons, the London in under 3hrs and 40 minutes, watching my progress, the artic chill would have been nothing compared to not running or doing a decent time.  I am ready to go and did 10 miles at the weekend, so hopefully you will see me and other Roc Runners putting up a decent show.”

Roc Technologies is the new proud sponsor of the race alongside support from The Good Exchange, a charitable giving platform where many of the Roc Runners are being sponsored by colleagues, friends and family.

Matt Franklin, CEO of Roc commented, “The team look fantastic in their new shirts, and everybody in the business is excited to be involved in some way with this fantastic Newbury community event.  We want to really be involved in sport and activity around the town and to the community that is so important to our success, and the Roc10k is just the start of that.  Good luck to everybody in the team, I hope my blue shirt is somewhere near the middle come the finishing line.”
